Little River, California offers A Classic Resort on the Mendocino Coast. Built in 1853 by Silas Coombs, a lumberman from Maine, this classic coastal resort once served as a home for
Silas and his family. Silas grand-daughter, Cora Coombs, married Ole Hervilla and they turned the old home into the popular Inn and dining room that it is today. Now, their children, Dan Hervilla and Susan Kimberly, continue to keep the flavor of the past while expanding the facilities. The resort includes ocean view lodging, fireplaces, full restaurant and bar, golf, tennis , hiking and beach combing.
Little River Inn is 2 miles south of the historic village of Mendocino which offers art galleries, antique shops, boutiques and performing arts. At Fort Bragg, 10 miles north, charter fishing boats are available, as well as the Skunk train for a ride through the redwoods.
